In 2018, when the statewide highschool dropout rate was 1.9%, minority students, students identified as low income, or students with learning disabilities were dropping out at much higher rates. This further substantiates disparities in education for underserved student populations.

AboutThe Prince and Odessa Borten Project for Equity in Education (The Borten Project) recognizes inequities exist in public education and seeks to disrupt negative trends by offering high-quality academic solutions. We are passionate about restoring not only equity in education but dignity to all learners by making learning obtainable. We remove barriers such as ineffective instructional practices and inaccessibility. We do this by offering the following: innovative academic solutions, creative instructional delivery, virtual accessibility, and services offered at low to no cost. We believe all learners deserve dignity no matter their unique circumstances and deserve equitable opportunities in education to become all they are purposed to be. |
Dreamer Level = $45 monthlySponsors at this level make high quality academic tutorials accessible to families by paying a portion of their cost. These services can include but are not limited to math remediation, reading remediation, and writing remediation.

Achiever Level = $250Sponsors at this level ensure a deserving student has free access to high-quality academic services for an extended period of time. These services can include but are not limited to math remediation, reading remediation, and writing remediation.

We are available for presentations on learning disabilities, child development, parent involvement, and topics surrounding education.
We are also accepting applications for volunteer educators. All volunteer educators who would like to volunteer MUST hold a current teaching certificate. Bilingual educators needed! |
